After 26 years at sea, the last 12 as Master in a range of
carriers (including gas, tankers, ferries and capesize bulk
carriers), David came ashore and joined the UK P&I Club in 1997
as a ship inspector. In 2001 David joined the Shipowners' Club as
Loss Prevention Manager and has overseen the development of various
loss prevention initiatives and the growth of the department which
now has a staff of seven. In 2003 David was elected Chairman of the
International Groups Ships Technical Committee, a position he still
holds today. David transferred to our Singapore office in
April 2009, assuming the position of Principal Officer in addition
to managing the Loss Prevention Department. David was appointed
Loss Prevention Director in July 2011.
