Lawrence graduated from Exeter
University with a mathematics degree, before qualifying as a
Chartered Accountant.
He subsequently joined the Lloyd's insurance market where he held a
number of senior finance and compliance positions for over 20
years. He joined the Shipowners' Club in 2004 and was appointed
Finance Director in October 2005. His leisure time revolves around
his family, playing the occasional game of tennis, walking the dog
and helping his wife maintain a newly acquired
allotment.
