As the maritime industry continues down its decarbonisation journey, we should reflect on some of the practical considerations of using alternative fuels.

The Club has collaborated with UCL Energy Institute to develop an analysis of the considerations to be taken for a selection of fuels, relative to one another. We hope this work will assist other industry stakeholders, as we work as a collective towards the IMO Climate Change Strategy for Shipping.

You can read more about the considerations of alternative fuels for the maritime industry here.

We welcome all feedback on this or any other Loss Prevention guidance, so please feel free to contact the Loss Prevention team should you have any comments.
