Calling the emergency contact number provides a quick and effective way to speak directly to a duty Shipowners’ claims handler in the event of an incident or casualty involving an entered vessel.
During office hours the emergency number will redirect to the relevant corresponding office switchboard.
Alternatively, Members can request assistance from our network of correspondents located around the world.
In 2015, after a number of related contact claims with Fixed and Floating Objects (FFO) and collision incidents, the Club developed the Communication is Key poster to highlight the importance of communication during pilotage operations.
To compliment this initiative, the Club has created an infographic which highlights the important stages within a pilotage operation, providing guidance for Members and their crew to ensure a safe and efficient passage.
