We are now seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join us on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic and a quick learner with a desire to develop in a friendly and supportive Insurance company. This is an excellent opportunity to build on your existing experience while working closely with an established and collaborative team. You’ll be one of two team members in Singapore, working closely with five colleagues in our London office. We also have a hybrid working model (minimum 2 days in the office).

Overall responsibility of the Role:
To deliver timely, accurate and professional support to external and internal stakeholders in the collection of premiums, the allocation of cash and the production of reports and broker statements.
Role Responsibilities:
- Take proactive ownership of premium collection, ensuring adherence to company credit control procedures and promptly escalating any concerns.
- To promptly and accurately allocate premium receipts on a daily basis on the Sun accounting system as well as making payments to brokers.
- Lead the investigation and resolution of unreconciled cash items, engaging underwriters and brokers with initiative and clarity to expedite outcomes.
- To accurately maintain and keep records up to date in CRM, Collect and Sun accounting systems.
- To provide general assistance within the Finance Department as and when required.
- Take initiative in managing Credit Control correspondence and stakeholder queries, ensuring timely, accurate and customer-focused resolutions.
Experience/Skills Required:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Credit Control, preferably within the insurance or Finance industries.
- Takes initiative and works independently, with strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Communicates clearly and confidently with stakeholders, both verbally and in writing, including when resolving queries or negotiating outcomes.
- Builds effective working relationships and contributes positively to team success and continuous improvement.
- Adapts well to shifting priorities and performs under pressure, managing multiple deadlines calmly and efficiently.
- Comfortable working in a multinational environment and proficient in Microsoft Excel (intermediate) and Word for reporting and correspondence.
