Club Profile
The Shipowners’ Club is a marine liability insurer offering P&I, Legal Assistance and Defence cover and associated insurance to small and specialist vessel owners across the world.
Building on over 150 years of experience in providing P&I
insurance, we work closely with our Members and their brokers to
provide tailor-made insurance solutions. As part of a mutual
association, our Members share their liabilities with other owners
of small and specialist vessels who face similar risks. The wide
spread of membership across different vessel sectors and
geographical areas brings stability to the Club as a whole. We
insure the following vessel types - barge, dry cargo, fishing,
harbour, offshore, passenger, tanker and yacht.
The Club is a member of the International Group of P&I Clubs
www.igpandi.org which
represents over 90% of the world's ocean-going tonnage. As a member
of the International Group, we are able to provide very high limits
of insurance cover if required.
With branches in London, Singapore and Vancouver, our strategy
is to provide a truly global service for our Members and their
brokers, underpinned by a comprehensive understanding of local
conditions.
