The Club is often approached by yacht owners and managers for advice on yacht specific matters. To assist our Members with preventing incidents and to answer some of the most frequently asked questions we have produced a range of helpful materials and advice that also relates to claim experience.

The majority of claim types experienced on board yachts consist of crew injury (44%), crew illness (28%) and navigation incidents (13%)*.

Additionally, 50% of yacht claims with a value in excess of USD 500,000 have been due to fires on board*.

Recognising that specialist advice may be needed, the Club produces and collaborates with industry experts to produce guidance on yacht specific topics.
