Cyber security guidelines for vessels

With the development of technology on board vessels it is becoming increasingly important for Members to be able to identify and respond, by way of procedures and appropriate actions, to cyber threats.

To assist with this process Bimco, together with other leading shipping organisations such as Intertanko and the International Chamber of Shipping, have developed a set of guidelines to assist in helping shipowners and operators prepare against and reduce the risk of a Cyber incident, the consequences of which could otherwise be significant from a safety, environmental and commercial standpoint.
