Calling the emergency contact number provides a quick and effective way to speak directly to a duty Shipowners’ claims handler in the event of an incident or casualty involving an entered vessel.

During office hours the emergency number will redirect to the relevant corresponding office switchboard.

Alternatively, Members can request assistance from our network of correspondents located around the world.

LONDON, 7 SEPTEMBER 2022 – The Shipowners’ Club, the leading P&I insurer in the smaller and specialist vessel sector, is delighted to announce it has been recognised as a 5 star Employer, after receiving positive feedback from employees through independent employee engagement experts WorkBuzz.

In July 2023, WorkBuzz invited all employees at Shipowners to provide confidential feedback about their employee experience (EX); ranging from their opinions on leadership and the organisational direction, to the efficacy of line managers, strength of teamwork, and how empowered individuals feel to do their roles.

Shipowners was awarded the WorkBuzz 5 Star Employer award, demonstrating their high levels of employee engagement, compared to other businesses of a similar size.
