Calling the emergency contact number provides a quick and effective way to speak directly to a duty Shipowners’ claims handler in the event of an incident or casualty involving an entered vessel.

During office hours the emergency number will redirect to the relevant corresponding office switchboard.

Alternatively, Members can request assistance from our network of correspondents located around the world.

We are now seeking someone to join us on a permanent basis as a  Medisea Liaison Officer.  The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, highly organised and detail-oriented, with a desire to develop within a friendly and supportive insurance organisation.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with shipping industry experience to join an experienced team and play a key role in supporting the administration and day-to-day operation of the Club’s Medisea programme. Working closely with clinics, third-party providers and internal stakeholders, the successful candidate will help ensure the efficient delivery of services to our Members worldwide.

 

We also have a hybrid working model (minimum 2 days in the office - after probation).

The role:

The Medisea Liaison Officer is responsible for supporting the effective administration and smooth day-to-day operation of the Medisea scheme. The role involves coordinating with clinics, third-party providers and internal stakeholders, maintaining accurate records, processing payments, producing reports and providing operational support to ensure a high level of service delivery.

 

Role responsibilities:

  • Support the day-to-day administration and operation of the Medisea scheme.
  • Maintain accurate records and produce reports, data analysis and management information as required.
  • Process clinic and supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely payment.
  • Liaise with clinics, third-party providers and internal stakeholders to support programme delivery.
  • Assist with clinic audits, accreditation activities and the collection of medical information where required.
  • Provide administrative and operational support to the Medisea team and wider business.

 

Experience required:

  • Experience within the shipping industry.
  • Degree, diploma or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline.
  • Strong administrative, organisational and communication skills.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to analyse data and produce accurate reports.

 

Candidates must be eligible to work in Singapore.
