The claims response service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and provides immediate global assistance to all of our Members.

Calling the emergency contact number provides a quick and effective way to speak directly to a duty Shipowners’ claims handler in the event of an incident or casualty involving an entered vessel.

During office hours the emergency number will redirect to the relevant corresponding office switchboard.

Alternatively, Members can request assistance from our network of correspondents located around the world.

From 1 January 2020, the limit for sulphur in fuel oil on board ships operating outside designated Emission Control Areas (ECAs) will be reduced from 3.50% to 0.50% mass by mass (m/m).

The limit will significantly reduce the amount of sulphur oxides emanating from ships into the atmosphere, improving air quality and protecting the environment while benefiting communities living close to ports and coasts.

The Club has created an infographic that answers some of the frequently asked questions about the sulphur limit and also provides recommendations on what Members can do to ensure their vessels meet the new lower sulphur emissions standard.
