Circular 6 – 2014 14th March 2014 To All Members,
Please see the attached circular from His Highnesses Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan's National Transport Authority, The Maritime Administration of United Arab Emirates, addressed to Ship Owners / Ship Agents / Ship Managers stating that Foreign Flagged vessels are not allowed to operate in UAE Waters without having valid Navigation license from this Administration.
This is not a new Notification but a reminder as apparently some vessels have in recent times failed to obtain a valid navigation license.
We trust that this serves as a helpful reminder to our Members of the need to ensure that they are in full compliance with the applicable requirements when operating in the region.
